Katherine Fielding

After seeing a project in which artists redesigned their favorite albums of 2018, I decided to do the same using the same color palette. My visual interpretation of Arctic Monkeys' Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino draws from the album's story of a futuristic colony on the moon, featuring a stylized moon. This is placed over concentric circles that are reminiscent of hypnotism, which I believe reflect the absurdist lyrics featured on the album. I thought this bold graphic style was fitting for the daring album as opposed to the more literal and obvious interpretation of the original cover. Created in Adobe Illustrator.
